I recently had a chance to stop in and try 5 of the staple beers for $8. All were great examples of the styles with none of them disappointing. There were 7 additional beers available, one of which was cask conditioned. The nice part is you can get a full (pint or snifter) or a half, allowing you to try more, if not all of them. I tried the amber on cask, the Beam Bock, the imperial blonde, and the Big Woody barleywine. The Big Woody was absolutely amazing being aged both in Jim Beam barrels and wine barrels.
We had great service and really good food. The seared tuna with wasbi sauce was one of the best I've ever had while our ribs were better than average. Prices for Anchorage are pretty much on par, which is great considering the amount of atmosphere this place has to offer. Being in a downtown setting makes parking a little tough but nothing too severe. There are metered spots around the building and public parking within a block or two. Overall well worth the stop.
