Incredible beer.
I am a huge beer snob and hop head, I actually prefer the single IPA over the "Big DIPA" double india pale ale because the singles seems to have a bit more bite and a little less malt than the DIPA. A standard fallback for me if they are ever out is the Red Ale, which is supposedly one of their top sellers. Excellent environment, a nice bar area, if you sit at the bar your likely to strike up a conversation with some well versed people, there is also the appeal of being able to get a very private booth and lay low with a companion and chat. A must stop if you are ever in Sacramento or San Francisco, located dead center between the two its only about a 45 minute drive from either city!

Located in a corner next to the Westfield Solano shopping center, Blue Frog is actually attached to a Marie Callender’s restaurant that sells their brews. There is a nice dark wood bar with adjacent table seating area. The brewery is visible through glass windows behind the bar and the open kitchen is just across the way. There is a separate dining area that includes a fireplace as well as a covered outside patio. Taps include at least four standards plus several current seasonals and many are also available in bottles. I like the Oatmeal Stout (Oak Aged on occasion) and recently took home the Double IPA (the Big DIPA) in bottles. The menu includes pizza and pastas as well as several steak and seafood entrees. There’s plenty of parking in the lot.
