Pretty good atmosphere and product. Visited in the summer of '12 on a Tuesday night. Pearl Street was the most calm part of our visit to downtown Buffalo! We had the blond and also tried the IPA and a Pale Ale. All were good. The bar tender was friendly and we enjoyed visiting with others at the bar. One patron got us very excited about another New York brewery (Southern Tier) and we made a point to visit there on our way home two days later!

One of the bright sides of downtown Buffalo. I thought I would be let down when two blocks away I saw a billboard still up trying to get people to buy Bill 1999 season tix. The outside has a New Orleans design with hanging plants and iron balcony's you can go out on. There are about 18 brews they make to choose from. Decent sized menu. Would have been better if the wing sauces with their own being that buffalo wings were invented in this town, but they were still better than ancor bar.
Interior design and beer selection makes it one of the best micros Iv'e been to. There are a few different rooms with differnt themes such as a speak easy and game room.

If in Buffalo stop here.

I sat at the bar and the bartender was horrible. He was real good if he knew you, but if you were there for the first time, forget about it. You got some bad service. Which is a shame because the beer was really good. The food was okay, nothing too great, nothing too bad. They had a good Polish/German Fare that wasn't bad. I ended getting a growler to end my encounter with the bartender and headed back to my hotel. I would return, but only to refill my growler.

This was one of the most disappointing breweries that I have ever been to. Our party was set at a table in the bar area because we had to accomodate a wheelchair. The music was so loud we could not talk to each other during the meal and the wait staff is horrible. We ordered a sampler of beer and after we finished it we waited for 20 minutes for our waiter to come back and when he did he did not even ask us if we wanted to order another beer. The food was excellent but the beer left alot to be desired. The beer was all bland and all tasted the same. I would not recommend going here for the beer...go for the food if you want to go at all. Just an FYI though they seem to host alot of parties so if you do go to eat make sure you ask not to sit in the bar area...people are constantly going through your eating area to get upstairs to their banquet rooms.
