A very good tap house in the Tremont neighborhood, just south of downtown Cleveland. There are quite a few decent beer bars in the area, however, this one is off by itself, but it is ok, they have plenty to keep you occupied.


First, the bar doesn't have a very clear sign outside. Definitely has the look of a tavern though and it is the only one in the area, so it isn't too hard to find. Also, has limited parking on site. There is a decent amount of on street parking around.


Two store bar. Food is very good. Not an extensive menu, but the appetizers, tacos and burgers are worth the trip.


Beer selection - 40 rotating taps, mostly outside of Ohio selections with some fairly uncommon choices on tap at times. They also have about 100 micros available in bottles. They feature Belgiums, IPAs, Darks and Extra Special items. You can also do a sampler, although it is a little pricy, $2.50 each, although they are decent size 2 oz samples.

One of the best beer / food spots in all of Cleveland. In fact, if you count the food (which is excellent) and the beer menu, it is the best I've been to in my almost 3 years here.

The rotating taps are always varied enough that you'll find something you want. Service is fantastic - we once flooded the place with an impromptu birthday party and they let us convert the fire pit into a big, 8-10 person table.

Never had a bad meal, either. Prices are going to approach a low-key NYC place, but the atmosphere, food, and beer selection are worth it, and as you'll often see the place is busy enough that many agree.

This place was a great surprise and was recommended to us by a friend. We would never have found it if it wasn't for him because it is in a residential neighborhood. We didn't have trouble finding parking, but it is all on the street.

The restaurant is long and skinny, kind of like a rowhouse. With a bar, booths and a large back area.

The bar staff was very friendly and we had a really good waitress.

They had a great selection of beers coming from all over the country with about 25 taps (and I didn't see any macros), along with a good bottle selection.

The food was fantastic. I had macaroni and cheese with grilled chicken and figs. The figs were a great addition giving the dish a bit of sweetness in each bite.

I can't wait to go back!

We had a great time at the Tremont Tap House on our first visit to Cleveland. We were brought here by a brewer friend and introduced to a place that wasn't even on the site yet.

They have 25 to 30 taps available with a heavy focus on craft beer. The main room is long and skinny, with a long bar along the left side of the room. You can tell that Tremont Tap House is determined to focus on beer and food.

We had food and I had a superb burger and fries, and my wife ordered the Macaroni and Cheese with figs (and she is still talking about it to this day...).

I saw only street parking during my visit. There didn't appear to be any parking meters since this is mostly a residential neighborhood. They have an outdoor patio, but it wasn't open during my snowy visit.

I would not miss this place if you are traveling to Cleveland. I will be back!
