The Coach & Horses is a Young’s pub. It has a modernized elegant feel but there are many historical parts left. Dark wood wainscoting runs around the main room (which is quite spacious) and there is red carpeting. There is a smaller room on the left and quite a few nice wooden tables with umbrellas outside in front on a concrete and brick patio that is a short step up from the sidewalk. The bar is another older feature - made of dark wood and quite long. The primary decoration is black & white historical and artistic photographs. Upstairs from the pub is an associated hotel.

There’s a fairly decent beer selection from Young’s - 3 real ales (Bitter, Special, and Wells Bombardier on our visit). The Sunday food looked traditional British but upscale (the Yorkshire pudding looked quite special) but we didn’t try anything so can’t give a score.
