More of a restaurant, but a great location along the channel. Solid selection of beers, but nothing too interesting. The few beers I tried had a good flavor, but not outstanding. The food was OK, but pricey for what it was. The whole place seemed over-themed with the dog paraphernalia, and not too interested in the beer. Maybe we would feel different if we belonged to one of the several nearby yacht clubs, but we weren't impressed.

You can't beat the channel-side location of this brew pub. whether you come by car or boat, both docking and parking are readily available.

In terms of the beer, it can be a little hit and miss. the lighter side of the spectrum caters to the the un-initiated. Of the regular beers, the brown is my favorite. On the seaqsonal taps, I really enjoy the Imperial IPA, the oatmeal stout, and the scotch ale when I am in the mood. the sampler here is an exceptional value with 8 beers for $8. be nice to your waitress, and she will also bring you a few extra's off the rotating taps.

The food can be hit and miss, but the pulled pork is very good, and in the summer the burgers are grilled on charcoal out back. In the off season (now) they have BOGO burgers, burritos, wings, and pizza. The pizza is wood-fired.

My family and I visited Old Boy's today as a Father's Day outing. We easily found it in the shadow of the bridge where M-104 crosses the Grand River. The deck has a nice view of a waterway frequented by upscale watercraft. We received prompt, friendly & knowledgable service. That said, our food & drink were average at best. We sampled the IPA, Kolsch, Scotch Ale & Pilsner. Nothing sttod out. They wre served a bit too warm, and really lacked character. At $4.50-$5.00 per 16 oz. pint, I'd say that's a bit on the pricey side compared to other places in West Michigan. I might try them again sometime, but I will not make it a destination.
