This was a great brew pub in an awesome little town. We stopped in on a weekday at lunch time and met many locals who knew about and were interested in chatting about beer. The staff was knowledgable. We had the opportunity to talk to the brewer, a freelance writer who often writes about beer, and a few locals who had interesting conversation to offer. The place is nice and the beer was fantastic. They had their own beers on tap and a few guest taps as well. They even had a barleywine. We tried the Daniel Shay's Best Bitter, Byzantine Blonde, Jess' Goodbye Rye PA, Dunkelweizen, IPA2, Rabble Rouser Barley Wine, and the Conundrum. Awesome soft pretzels and nachos to compliment! Highly recommend stopping in this town and trying out this place!

Northampton is a hoppin, liberal, western Mass college town year-round (lots of all girl schools) and the brewery is an excellent microcosm of the area. Fairly busy at lunch on a weekday around the holidays, our server was hilarious and on top of it. The menu is vegetarian friendly, the nachos are kick ass, and they also have a some delicious meat sandwiches like the "cuban". We had an IPA heavy sampler, including the Hopzilla and Black Boots Ipa, both were tasty especially when finished with their Black Cat Stout, coffee infused and smooth as the devil. I was was also excited to get a snifter of the St. Vrain Tripel from Left Hand, maybe not one of my favorite beers from the Longmont brewery, but it is nice to see them getting into New England. There are a lot of options in Northampton but, i would definetly recommend to any beer lover, to kick back in one of their leather love seats, grab a Hopzilla and bang your head to some Pixies, pilgrim.
