This brewery is right on Newport Blvd right at the start of the Newport Beach peninsula. There's a good sized parking lot in the back that had plenty of spaces available.

I went in on a Tuesday evening, and it was relatively quiet - there were a few people inside and a few people sitting outside. I sat at the bar. I started with a Pelican Ale, which was ok but unexceptional. The bartender gave me a sample of the Dye Job Black Ale, which I had been hoping was like a typical black ale, but was really a poorly disguised stout - i'm glad I didn't order a full pint. The bartender then recommended the Rip Tide Red, and after the first two disappointments I was rather impressed. Most reds I've had are overly hoppy, but this was flavorful and not too bitter, and gave me hope that the other beers in their arsenal were of the same quality.

This looked like a good bar to watch a game, get some decent bar food, and have a couple drinks. I wouldn't necessarily go there if I was looking for a top quality beer, though.

I don't know much about parking because I walked from a vacation rental house. I do know parking is a little difficult in Newport Beach. They did have a somewhat outside sitting area (covered enclosed patio) which looked very nice. If you are into growlers they are available. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere and the brews. I wish I had had more time to try the food. I would stop by again if I am everback in the area.
