Tried a flight of six beers here today. Let's start with a question. Why would you serve raspberry wheat in a flight of beers for a customer to taste? Isn't the idea of dumping raspberry extract into watery light beer all about making a beer that doesn't taste like beer, for people who don't like beer?

Okay, the lineup. Pale ale - infected, smelled like a dishrag when you leave it damp in your sink for too long. Copper ale - infected. IPA - tastes like IPA, must have something to do with that magical astringent characteristic of hops. A very drinkable beer. Oatmeal stout - drinkable, but not a lot of body for an oatmeal. The aforementioned raspberry wheat - still can't figure out what that was doing in the lineup at all. Finally, I had a mystery beer. The waitress told me that since they were discontinuing brown ale, I could pick "Winter Warmer" or "Black Ale". I chose "Winter Warmer". After I tasted a little, the second waitress said they were out of "Winter Warmer" and that I must be drinking "Black Ale". It wasn't as black as the oatmeal stout so I'm not really sure what I was drinking. I can say that there was nothing about that beer that would make me want to verify the name in order to purchase another glass.
I know everyone has different tastes in beer, so please feel free to try whatever is on tap when you visit the pub.
