linkPistol Pete's has been around a long while and was serving up craft beer, and a good selection of it, long before most bars even bothered to carry Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. There is always a wide assortment of beers from a diverse selection of brewers. You can occasionally find Pliny on tap, and they always have Auburn Alehouse beers available. They have great happy hours and specials, and all the best beers are part of the deals. The place is really a sports bar, and has a big section of pool tables. Bands play here regularly, and it is the destination for college kids returning home at Thanksgiving. The service is always very friendly, and while most of the food is essentially microwave snacks, they are cheap.

linkNice long L-shaped bar in a large open room with table seating, pool tables and a stage area. There is also a separate room for busy nights plus an outside area where smoking is permitted. There are 24 taps that are predominantly regional crafts with several imports and only a few BMC. I enjoyed a Kilt Lifter from Moylan’s but didn’t have time for the many other interesting offerings. There is currently no food service but there are plans to turn the adjacent room into a small kitchen for pizza and such. In the process they will be downsizing the pool area a bit (if you are interested in a nice table, give Pete a call). Plenty of parking is available in the lot out front.
