Tyler's Taproom has four locations in the greater Raleigh-Durham area. The Apex Taproom is in a suburban shopping center with several dining options and the Beaver Creek movie theater. There is ample space for parking. The Taproom occupies a corner unit of the brick complex. In front is a small enclosure with black patio furniture. Enter and the dining area is on the right, with plenty of tables. On the left is the main bar, concrete topped with 13 chairs and a few surrounding high top tables. The floors and dividers are wooden and the wall decorations celebrate various breweries. The staff is welcoming and efficient, and the place has a nice family friendly atmosphere. The food menu is tremendous pub fare with excellent appetizers, pizza, salad, sandwiches and creative pub entrees. The bar has four shiny beer towers and fours sets of taps along the wall, for just over 100 brews on draft! It is a great selection focused mainly on American craft excellence spanning all styles. They also have a variety of about 100 well chosen bottled beers. Further back is the "Speakeasy", their 2nd bar and game room, which has two red felt billiards tables, several video games, and an 18-chair wooden bar. The Apex Taproom is an excellent bar and vital part of the Triangle beer scene.

Tyler's Taproom has basically two bars to it. The first is the main pub/restaurant which has a upscale clean feel to it. The second, is their "speakeasy" which has more of a sports bar feel to it. Smoking is allowed in the speakeasy, along with pool tables and arcade games. In the pub area, you are allowed to order beer flites where you can try 4 beers of different styles. The beer selection is good, with a nice emphasis on locally brewed beers. Not as extensive selection as the Flying Saucer, but definitely much better than most pubs. Would like to see more beers on tap, not that 20+ is bad though. A very enjoyable experience overall.

I would have to agree with the last review...my new favorite. Unbelievable selection, knowledgeable staff, great food. Not only does the beer menu rotate, but so does the food menu. Prices are terrific as well, both food and beer. I don't know if I could really say anything bad about this place other than I'll never go often enough to try everything I want on the rotating menu!

The garlic fries that come with the burgers are awesome, a must try.

My new favorite place. Excellent choices for taps, way too many to choose from! Rotating "special" taps with a large selection of standard ones. Pretty large bottle list also. Great representation of local NC beers also. Growlers are available, but unfortunately a bit pricy. But good possibilities if you want to take some home.

Food is definitely a step above their Durham location. I feel safe ordering something other then "bar food" there!

Service is friendly and prompt. Bar staff was a little weak for their beers at first, but have definitely improved!
