First lousy trip to Barley Creek. They were out of their IPA and another beer as well.

Service was atrocious. Our waitress just disappeared. Had to ask another waitress to find her so I could get another beer. And them it sat on the bar for awhile until she picked it up. She didn't bother coming by again until the table was bussed and we just asked for our check.

The beer was only okay. The summer lager wasn't very flavorful. It didn't have any aftertaste, was the same throughout. The navigator ale had a very different aftertaste, it was very fruity this time.

I asked the hostess if they had any logo pint glasses. She didn't know, and told me to ask the bartender. The problem was, noone was at the bar. I left, with no intention to return.

This was the first stop on my recent beer trip. I stopped in for a late lunch and still had some driving to do.

Nice big place, its was around 2pm and dead maybe 5 people in a very large open space. i am thinking it gets busy during ski season? being in the Pocono's and all. Bartender was good with the service explained the beers and the specials for the day.

I saw a Black Lager on the menu and being a fan of that I had to give it a go. I was not impressed I have to say seem way under carbonated and flat. Had nice color but no head. I sampled the rescue IPA which i like better all tho I not a an IPA guy this was a better beer. Also tried the irish red which was the seasonal for the month. Its was ok as well.

Bottles for sales on premise and one cask that I saw too. A lot of Shirts and other swag for sale at reasonable prices. Looks like a"mug club" as well with all the hanging mugs on the bar area ceiling with numbers on them.

Food menu was nice, pizzas, sandwiches, etc. I went with the stand by fish and chips and it was good and they served it thick cut potato chips which hit the spot after a long drive..

I would certainly find myself stopping again here if I was to head thru PA on I80 again..

My friends and I went here this weekend for our regular beer outing. The drive wasn't bad and the place is super easy to get to. It's exit 299 off 80 and it's literally 2 turns from there. As we pulled up it was a little overwhelming. This place is definitely bigger than I would have expected and they have their act together. When you walk in you'll notice the inside looks like a giant ski lodge, it's very minimal but looks really streamlined and it works. We took a seat in the dining room and the service was awesome. It might of helped that the waitress was super cute and had no problem talking beer with us. So my friend and I queued up a couple samplers while we looked over the menu. When they arrived we were delighted to find that with every sampler you get a free 5oz. souvenir sampler glass so that was very nice touch. The samplers only cost $9.50 which isn't bad considering your getting about 2 pints worth of beer plus the freebie. So we ordered and started digging in. The winner of the day was the navigator golden ale. This was a surprise to me because I'm very much a red ale/porter/stout kinda guy. Nothing else here really stood out in comparison to other micro breweries we've been to. The nut brown and the black lager just tasted flat but it might have something to do with how they pour directly from the tank and not kegged. I will admit I didn't get a chance to try the porter this time around, figured I would save it for next time. As for the food, it was excellent, my friends split a bowl of chili and I tried their buffalo chicken pizza which was incredible. Their main complaint though was when their meals came, which were sandwich/burgers, fries were not included. Overall though the experience was pleasant and I have a feeling I'll be heading back in the near future.

Nice, Large Brew Pub just off US 80. I have stopped there in the past, by pure luck and directions from someone at a local highway rest area. This time I saw a sign on the highway! Thanks for putting up the sign otherwise I would not have remembered.

The brew kettle is encased in brick. Open fermentation is used in the basement for the ales. They even have a couple of bottling lines.

Good Beer! Good Food! Nice Pub! $5 T-shirts! How can you go wrong?
