Stopped with friends on the way to NH. The beers are very good and I wound up with the Old 76 strong ale as that was really hittin'. We had dinner and everyone had a great meal. Had a cup of clam chowder and it was probably the best I've had so far. The place was jumping but our server was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is quaint and you can see various brew tanks around the floor. A definite stop

My wife and I came here for dinner on a slow Sunday night. We started with the sampler, which was not bad, but not great. I didn't find many of the beers to be high in flavor, all of them seemed just a little bit bland to me. I will say the food was excellent, with large portions. My wife got the 3-Cheese mac and cheese, and I got the turkey dinner, both had way more flavor than any of the beers here. I don't think the beer here was bad, just a little lacking.

Was the last stop on our ten brewery/ski weekend trip last january. They were not open yet but let us in an hour early to get a tour by their brewmaster. They had a very nice setup with copper and brick tanks. The brews were all amazing, I started with a sampler and was very impressed with how smooth they were and the smell of the hops in the ipa. It is situated in downtown Benningtin which is a very nice older town with very friendly people. Parking didnt look that great but it was 10 am on a Sunday so we had no problem.

It had been a long trip in the car with two kids driving all the way from Rochester when he hit Bennington. I had planned to stop here and I had searched for a brewpub to satisfy the whole family's need to eat. Madison Brewing Company popped up on the Google Search (now the Beermapping search) and so we stopped. As we walked up to the building the smell of malt wafted down the street and lured us all the way in. They were brewing and it was a happy smell.

We sampled a few beers and I believe I had the white and the maple porter. Both were really fantastic and the food was great. I know this because my kids ate it, and that means something. The menu is familiar and yet different. I enjoyed the German potato salad option with my meal.

I spoke with the bartender who was friendly and I checked out the brewing facility which is sitting right in plain view and not behind glass.

We enjoyed it immensely and I left with a growler to share with my in-laws. I tell everyone who runs through Bennington to stop there, it's worth it.

One of my many stops on the Vermont Brewery Challenge. The Madison Brewing Company has a nice bar set up and a large dining area. Their beer was good and the bartender was very friendly. One thing that was interesting is that the pint glasses they had were from the police department saying not to drink and drive. Vermont is very strict on drinking and driving and this was a nice proactive approach.
