linkBeer selection is pretty damn good and their prices are in line at the upper end, considering what they have. There's plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor, but parking is a little lacking. I got lucky and got a spot just as someone else pulled out, so I don't know what else is around for street parking.
They do have a selection of ships and such, but stop elsewhere to get a bite before checking this place out.
Overall, a great place to grab a beer.

linkVentured over here on foot after visiting Alchemy on Atwood. Located in a somewhat desolate area, across from a rather shady "adult emporium". Large Chimay sign outside was a clue to the quality beer to be had inside.
There were some exclusive taps here for the Great Taste weekend, such as Jolly Pumpkin Weizen Bam, O'so imperial Saison, and Grumpy Troll Maggie IPA. Other local craft options and Belgians too. Big chalkboard in back listed the taps. Vast bottle selection here, something for everyone. The interior was larger than I expected, low drop ceiling, wood paneling on the side walls. We only stopped in for a couple rounds, but I noticed plenty of beer decor, like De Dolle posters, and a few other scattered signs. Lots of tables and chairs, they also had some cheese plates out on the bar, that was a nice touch. Sid the bartender was really great, friendly and helpful even when it was busy.
I'd go back sometime to see what was new on tap.
2009 edit: Malt House is consistently solid, i'd recommend them over Brasserie V if you're looking for Belgians.

Fantastic beer bar for beer geeks. The owner was the head of the local home brew association for a number of years. The bar itself is civil war vintage and very long. There is not a lot of parking and the intersection where it is located is kind of a pain. The bar is comfortable with a lot of rich natural woodwork. It is a long shotgun type room. They also have a excellent selection of single malts, blended whiskey, bourbons, and other spirits.They always have a half a dozen Belgians as well as a good selection of Wisconsin craft brews and several other micro-brews on tap at any given moment.
The staff is generally knowledgeable and the owner who is often behind the bar has a borderline encyclopedic knowledge of the beers.
Really great place if you are looking for a perfect pint.
