Both my girlfriend and I have been to Friar Tucks many times. They have knowledgeable staff. I have purchased 2 kegs from them for parties. I use to buy kegs from Dirt Cheap and they didn't have a clue and I had to give them cash for the deposit. Friar tucks deposit is less and they will take credit card for the deposit. I have spent a lot of money on beer here. They have a very large selection of beer including a lot of cold beer. I have not been to Lucas Liquors but that is WAY down Manchester and this is 20 minutes from my house so Friar Tucks is my Nirvana. They have the largest amount of beer and beer selection I have seen in St. Louis. They have one of the largest coolers I have been in. This is an old Office Depot that was converted to large wine, alcohol, and beer shop. They have home brew supplies which I have not purchased any here yet, but very tempted. I have purchased the Mix a Six pack a couple times, which they have a very nice selection of beers. If they really claim that they have every beer in Missouri, then they are lying. For example, there was no beer from Stevens Point Brewery, which you can find many other places. The prices are high on everything. Save yourself the trip and the money and go to Lucas or a good Shop N Save. I think everything I saw there could also be picked up at other places around St. Louis.
They have a nice store and selection, but the prices weren't justified.

They say they carry every beer available in the state of Missouri. I believe them. They have a huge assortment of beer, most of which is available cold. They have quite a selection of beers available for mix & match 6 packs. They carry a huge selection wines and liquors, as well as beer brewing equipment. I stopped in the day after they openend, they have large humidors near the front door which weren't stocked yet. They have ample parking, as it's in a shopping center off of a main road. If you're in the area, this IS the place to find something if it's available in the state of Missouri.
