This location is near the start of the steep climb up Mt Rose to the highest year round pass in the Sierras. You enter into a large room containing the U-shaped bar, a fireplace and tall table seating. There is also a separate dining area with table seating and a nice deck with umbrella tables for warm weather months. Nearly twenty taps include a nice array of regional crafts with only a few BMCs and imports. There are multiple selections from both Mammoth and Buckbean so I enjoyed a Hair of the Bear and a Black Noddy to support my Eastern Sierra brewers. The dinner menu has a good combination of starters, pasta and upscale entrees. I really enjoyed the Double Nut Brown stew with my pork tenderloin entrée. We had stopped by previously for lunch but at the time, they weren’t open weekdays. There is decent parking in the terraced lot out front.
