stopped in during my west coast travels. The bar is located downtown and is a change of pace from the local fare. A ton of taps and very knowledgable staff to help with your questions. If your there to watch a game or stop by as an after party. all apps are 1/2 price after 10pm.. Being from NY I didnt mind the 6 dollar beer prices, thats actually cheap for me. The food was good too. I was nervous about getting sushi but it was fresh and well made. I cant wait to go back next summer when Im back out west.

My one complaint about this place is that it was very loud due to lots of hard surfaces for the sound to bounce around on. Between the music and the noise from other patrons talking the two practically had to shout to each other.

Parking is about what you should expect at a downtown restaurant in a major city. A tip is to park at the hotel on 7th and walk over.

On the plus side, it has a billiard room that can be rented and the staff seems to know the beer list pretty well.

The Tap House is located below street grade, but the place feels airy due to the very high ceilings and suspended lighting.

There is a long serpentine bar seats about 30. There are plenty of tables and booths to share. About 1/3 of the room is elevated which adds some visual interest.

Music is a bit loud but not overpowering. Soundtrack is a mix of 3/4s classic rock and ΒΌ newer stuff. Think Eagles, Smashing Pumpkins, Steely Dan, etc.

They have 160 beers on tap. Most are listed in a leather bound menu. Ask the server to print out the seasonal offerings. They had 23 seasonals on during my visit!! There is a wide variety of styles, breweries and points of origin. You will have no problem finding interesting beers to try.

It had a nice crowd sized on a Tuesday. Lots of beer love with the patrons.

Bartenders know beer, are friendly, give samples but are a bit slow due to being a bit under staffed

They have good food and seem to have a menu that is easy to pair with beer. They also have a nicely priced happy hour menu and offer a late night one as well.

I liked my sushi rolls, chicken satay and the humus plate is outstanding (love the accompanying grilled tomatoes with blue cheese.

Prices are a bit steep figure $5.50 to $6.50 for a standard pint. My 10 oz snifter of Southern Tier choklat was $8.50

The Tap House is just a great spot in a great beer city. Worth a stop each time I visit.
