Lancaster Brewing has a large, diverse selection of beers and does a decent job with them all. Get the sampler tray! Most are modest (5% abv) beers true to their styles (Kolsch, Lager, Milk Stout, Oktoberfest, Country Cream Pale Ale, Gold Star Pils), which are very drinkable. There are a few bolder beers that are interesting (Hop Hog IPA, Boss Hog Double IPA, and a nice Hefeweizen). My top pick is the unique Strawberry Wheat which is very well balanced and not too fruity. (p.s. Their "Chocolate Covered Strawberry" blend of Strawberry Wheat and Milk Stout is a fun creation.)

This Taproom restaurant does not brew its own beer, but has 11 Lancaster beers on tap. There are a couple of copper brewing vessels which are only decorative. Oddly the sampler includes all 11 and they don't offer a smaller subset. The Taproom is a lengthy building with the family friendly restaurant on the right and the 4-sided 18-chair wooden bar at the left end. In the bar area there is a video game and dartboard. Near the bar there is a door to the wooden patio which has black and yellow umbrellas. The exterior of this stand-alone building is brick and vinyl, and has a dedicated parking lot.

This was our first visit to the Harrisburg location of Lancaster Brewing Company. I used to be a frequent customer at the Lancaster location.
We purchased the sampler for $10 and really enjoyed the variety. Megan's favorite beer was the Hefe Weizen. Tony's favorite was Oktoberfest. We each purchased a pint after the sampler. Although I prefer the old-school feel of the Lancaster location, the Harrisburg bar is nice and in a good location. We will be back often.

Seems like a pretty upscale place. Have not been to the main location yet so I don't know if this is the norm. Tried several beers, including the IPA and the flagship Milk Stout. The one bartender (there were three there on a Saturday at 4PM) said that the Milk Stout was their best seller by far. All the beers I tried were of very good quality. The place seemed pretty new and started to get pretty busy. Did not have anything to eat but the food I saw looked pretty good and smelled great. I will definitely stop in again.
