We visited on a Saturday night around 8 pm. The place was pretty crowded but we found seats at the bar. They also have tables and chairs in addition to some couches. There was a two-piece band playing on a small stage with the brewing equipment as a backdrop. We ordered a sampler which came with 8 2 ounce beers for $7.50. To our disappointment the sampler did not include their Cask Bourbon Barrel Russian Imperial Stout so we ordered a glass. Wow, that’s some good stout. All the beers were good but that stout really stood out. Food service is limited to frozen pizza, which they cook in a small pizza oven, and bar snacks like pretzels. The old warehouse is no smoking. There is a gravel parking lot across the street for parking. Everyone was very friendly and having a good time.

I've been hoping to get down to Weasel Boy for a number of years and was not disappointed by my visit. I arrived in early afternoon and was only only person there when I arrived. A few other people stopped by while I was there. Seemed like it would be a fun place to grab drinks, as it is an old converted warehouse. Lots of room, "private" rooms with couches and a nice patio looking out on the Muskingam River.

Tried the sampler which included 9 beers. They serve pizza and have pretzels available, but this is primarily a taproom. I was impressed with the beers, I've had them at numerous beer festivals with mixed results. But the quality was excellent this time around. The mango wheat would be a great summer sipper. The IPA, Black IPA and Brown were also really good examples. They also had a seasonal paw paw ale (a regional Ohio fruit) which was also very interesting.

Have to be careful with parking, there is a gravel lot across the street. There is a pub next door that apparently will tow pretty quickly if you go to Weasel Boy.

I visited Weaselboy Brewing in July 21-22, 2010. I arrived about 9:30 pm but the brew pub is open most nights until midnight. The brewpub is high on the river bank with the brewery in the front of the large room with comfy sofa and chairs. Because of poor signage the brewpub is hard to spot among the row house sitting. I was unable to photograph the interior. The owners (Weaselboy and Weaselgirl) work the place themselves. The brewing system looks like a 10 bbl system which is used to brew on Sunday and Monday the days the pub is closed. Almost all the beer is sold over the bar. There were guest beers.

The beer list was expansive with 12 beers, including 3 IPA. All the beers have a Weasel theme, Plaid Ferret, Ornery Blonde, Brown Stoat stout. I found no house notes or defects in the beers I tasted. I will say that most are to the much milder side of the style. For example the Brown Stoat Stout was deep brown not dark, lacked maltiness, and a bit thin for a stout. I believe this is typical for eastern brewpubs.

One of the owners frequented the bar and lightly bantered with the customers. Most of the people were regulars. There are pretzel bowls on the bar and food of any kind can be delivered or brought to the brewpub. They have a β€˜special’ relationship with a local pizzeria to deliver.

All in all, this is a place that has the feel of a neighborhood friendly brewpub. The people were engaging, friendly, and had things to share. I would go back.
