linkGiven the poor selection of brewpubs in Hampton, VA, I was really hoping for a good experience at The Taphouse on Queens. Perhaps I should have gone next door. Although they have 37 drafts on tap and over 100 more in bottle, the atmosphere destroyed any hope of a positive beer experience. Bar staff was inexperienced and inattentive, regulars were the focus of attention and some even had screaming cellphone conversations. NOT a place for families. This reminds me of a college hangout with good beer. Too bad the atmosphere drags it down so much.
