Yes, when you come to the correct address, you have indeed arrived at your proper destination. Upon pulling into the teeny gas station parking lot, I think to myself: "NFW." But alas, upon entering, the entire rear of the shop is a bevy of beer and wine.

Coolers along the rear hold many six-packs, and room temperature shelving holds much much more. High Point is a veritable beery wasteland, and Spanky's makes up for the chasm as best it can. Plenty of Bell's and Dogfish Head to be found. Single bombers and proper pint bottles of Fuller's, Olde Suffolk (!) and the like.

I got to talking with the proprietor and his love of beer is obvious. As a fellow beerinator/beermapper we conversed for a while on his selection and just how awesome this diamond in the rough is. Oddly enough, a 2nd beerinator arrived coincidentally and all 3 of us chatted about beer.

Easy to get to for me off of I-85 at the Archdale exit. If GSO Wine Warehouse's beer inventory continues to deplete, and if I don't have time for a trip into Winston to City Beverage for goodies, it's an easy decision to go to Spanky's for my beery needs.

Spend your money here! Keep the beer selection thriving. High Point needs this bottle shop!
