Let's make no mistake, Guido's is a dive. Smokey and dark, it's consistently packed with a diehard crew of regulars, early and mid 20-somethings, college kids, and pretty much every other demographic you can imagine. Simply put, it's the best bar in terms of character that Frederick has to offer.
Their beer selection is modest, but solid. On tap they have the Flying Dog Snake Dog IPA, Blue Moon, Yeungleng, and right now they've got the Wild Goose Snow Goose winter ale on. In bottles they've got all your standard light American lagers, but also have Flying Dog's Old Scratch and Doggie Style Pale Ale, as well as several of the Samuel Smith's beers. There's others, but I don't recall any other names just now.
On Tuesday's they do $2 drafts, Wednesdays they do $.25 wings, and on weekends they have live music in the back room.
It's a great bar...I affectionately refer to it as a sh*thole (because it is), but it's fun none the less. And divey. Check it out.
