Located in an artsy area of North Charleston, this beer bar and pizzeria delivers unique pizzas from a wood fired oven and their beer list, while small, provides some pretty good variety.

Their eight or so taps are rotating and feature local brews. The bottle/can selection is pretty good as well and includes some old standbys as well as some new craft brews from across the US.

The atmosphere is great; small and family oriented and but service is slow and was sort of sort when we first ordered. Service improved once our food arrived and our server warmed up considerably when we asked for explanations of local beer.

Will go back at some point but will try other places in Charleston first.

EVO is an ecclectic Pizza joint near the water in North Charleston which has a very compact menu and a very compact beer list. They have the ability to have 6 drafts on at a given time, but only had 4 on at the time of my visit. The bottle list was small but mighty with 16 bottles (plus a few seasonals) and all were nicely chosen with the exception of Peroni and Stella.

Smoking did not appear to be available anywhere and parking was easy and abundant. The service was attentive and easy to deal with. Someone wanted to move a tab to the another section and they were accommodated with ease and pleasantry.

We did not stay for the spartan menu, but I have every believe it would have been stellar as well. The beer menu is well chosed and while it could use a kick in the pants there is something there for everyone.

I'd go back, especially for some more Coast beers!
