Went here last week (8/8/11). They had a great selection of beers. The service was friendly. The glassware was cool, but expensive. We bought 1 glass for $10. The atmosphere was nice, busy place, but nice. There was a barley wine that was actually really good, I am not a fan of it, but it was not too bad. Over all its a good place to visit, good service and great beer.... just very busy.

This place seems like an iconic Northwest brewpub. The hit all the points... historitc building, great selection of brews, good service, environmentally freindly, and great food. There beer is outstanding, the Alpha IPA is one of the best IPA's Ive had. Amazing hop aromoa, flavor and drinkability. Aside from their six standards they rotate fruit ales, wheat styles, and Beligan Styles. A brewpub with Belgian Styles!!! They even serve their brews in appropriate glassware, the wheat's in a tall wheat glass and the Beligans in a specail oversized brandy goblet with the latitude and longitude of the brewery on the back.

Last stop for the day Block 15 the newest brewery in the area. Nestled in the town right between both the Oregon Trader and the Corvallis Homebrew supply is Block 15 Brewing named after the original name of the area as they named the blocks when Corvallis was being formed. Old Gentlemen’s clothing store converted into a brewery. The place had the old brick walls the nice flooring, big bar and the sign that said beer here. A great old pub feel with a special little charm. The beers where very good and I got to try the food and the beer. The food was regular pub fair nothing out of the ordinary and was very good. The beers where very nice and they have over 10 different styles so to try them all was going to be a marathon of tasters. I got to try as many as I could and they where all very nice. The Stout was awesome and the IPA had such a fresh flavor wow it was awesome. Hell you’re I hops country so they better be good. We got there after the brewing was shut down so no tour maybe next time when in town. You can bring the kids and they have plenty of parking out front and the place can get jammed with locals and I am sure when college is in full swing look out this place on game nights and after will be jammed. Check it out another great beer place in Corvallis to hit.

I've been going to Block 15 fairly regularly since they opened. The beer is all very good. They generally have a selection of 8 or 10 of their own beers plus a couple of guest-taps with beers from other local breweries. The selection leans toward the hoppy side (the IPA seems to be one of their most popular), but they also have a very good oatmeal stout (my personal favorite).

The food I've had has all been good. They have a reasonable selection of burgers, sandwiches and pasta. The pulled-pork sandwich is particularly recommended, and I was very impressed by the artichoke-eggplant lasagna. On the appetizers menu, the 'Hog Wings' and stuffed mushrooms are both very good.

Service is sometimes a bit slow, but always very friendly.

The owners are committed to sustainable practices including use of local ingredients in the food, and their recently released "Earth Pale Ale" is brewed with all organic grains.
