I enjoyed my visit to this mellow mushroom it was not as "Through the Looking Glass" as some, more adult friendly. The place was quite crowded but we were served in a very timely manner. The beer tasted fresh, service was great the waitress was willing to offer suggestions in fact she suggested one of my favorites but I was wanting to try something different. The only thing is that my stout came in a pilsner glass. When I come back to Charleston I will visit this place again.

Mellow Mushroom while know for their pizza this particular one has a fantastic beer selection.
Their huge selection of beers on tap is their strong point, with 7 taps. They have a couple COAST beers at all times.
The most recent time I was there they still had half priced pint tuesday, making some more expensive beers much more affordable.
while parking can be tricky if you drive there, you have to park in a near by parking garage or pay parking lot. It can be like that for any downtown business.
