I was impressed at the relatively large variety of different beer styles offered by this relatively small brewery / restaurant. Their "Hop Knockers" India Pale Ale is a well balanced. They have decent examples of stout, porter, doppelbock, kolsch, and a marzen. The more experimental of their brews included blueberry wheat and mango wheat, which were both surprisingly good. I say Union Barrel Works is worth a visit - try their sampler!

Best beer in the Lancaster County area. Do something for yourself when visiting Pennsylvania Dutch country with the wife and kids, stop here. Especially love the fact that the beer brewed there is unfiltered. You really get the fresh beer experience when drinking here. Tried the Pale Ale this time, which was excellent and went down very easy and also enjoyed the Mai Bock, which was very good. Food is also worth stopping for. This is a must stop when in the Lancaster, PA area.
