The Freakin' Frog is definitely Las Vegas' best beer bar.

The beer selection is very impressive. The bottle list is MASSIVE. Basically… If they don't have it, it can't be had. Many bottles are available in multiple vintages.

I have never eaten there, but the food looked tempting and well made. Standard bar fare.

The only down side was that they allowed smoking inside. When I went upstairs to admire the whiskey selection, I nearly hurled from the smoke. I had to go outside in the oppressive heat to recover.

It isn't very far off "the Strip" but you will need a cab from the major hotels. It is secluded in a seedy looking strip mall on the East side of the University of Las Vegas. And it appears to be a haunt for the students as well as those of us in the know about beer.

The freakin Frog is the best beer bar in Vegas.

They have several taps that rotate with always something interesting available, even for someone like me that has already had everything. Plus they have two big walk-in coolers with an extensive bottle collection. If you appear to be a person that likes beer, you can be invited to browse the first cooler. If you really know your beer, you might be invited to view the second cooler. The owner goes out of his way to go and get beer and bring it back for the bar.

You never know what you might find. Last time I was there, I was sitting at the bar when a delivery of 5 bottles of Utopias showed up and they started selling shots (in a snifter).

Oh, bring your wallet. My last bar tap was $100 plus tip. But still may be cheaper than an afternoon at the tables.

while not much to look out from the outside, or the inside either, the frog has 15 taps which rotate. delerium always on tap. and collers which hold 750 plus beers, from all over the world, except Bud. Staff is very knowledgable and helpful. They show movies on the big screens, live bands, also for the whisky fan upstairs is the whiskey attic over 150 bottles with special events. The food is standard bar food.
