One of the many great brew pubs in Ann Arbor. Went in during a Michigan game for some drinks and didnt get my ass beat when I cheered for the opposing team, ND. More brews than your average micro and some pretty good ribs that fall off the bones. Restaurant smells great from the wood burning pizza oven. Parking is available two blocks away in garage. Safety is definetly not a concern in this town.

Grizzly Peak has much of what I look for in a brewpub. The decor is filled with breweriana, though it is not overflowing from the walls. Brick and wood dominate the interior with the center piece of the restaurant, the wood burning oven.

I've never had a bad beer here. The porter is probably my favorite of the year round beers. They had a nice rye brewed with bavarian hefe yeast in July. They serve cask ale, again a nice touch I'd like to see at every brewpub.
The menu is full of items we've grown accustom to seeing at brewpubs. Very good sandwiches, terrific steak, wood-fired pizza, fish & chips... Very good food!

This isn't the place I'd come to hang out all night, but if you're looking for a terrific meal with a couple nice beers, this is an excellent choice.

(I wrote this a couple years ago. I still stand by it. They don't really cater to the beer geek crowd. It's mostly standard brews, but they're well made.)

After having lived in England for a year, I seek out brew pubs that have true English style real ale. Grizzly Peak is one of those rare finds. They keep their pale ale on the beer engine making it a sure thing to be able to get true English still beer every time one visits the pub. Additionally they use traditional English hop strains adding to the authentic taste. I find myself going to Ann Arbor for the sole purpose of visiting this pub.

The food is great also.

The atmosphere is family friendly and lively. The best experiences that I've had there are with large groups; the service even seems to pick up when you come with a lot of people.

Definitely expect a wait. I have never gone there without having to wait at least 10-15 minutes.

The beer selection is decent, but not compared to some of the other options in Ann Arbor. Food and drink both are a bit pricey too.

I have been to this place numerous times. The service is pretty good (which is great for Ann Arbor). Their beer is good, but no amazing creativity. I really enjoy their Irish Stout and Steelhead red. Their selection is good size, but most are their regulars, not seasonals or specialties. They typically have one maybe two seasonal/specialties at a time. They had a dark munich that was amazing, but they also have a Yeasty Ale (named the farmers daughter) that is nearly undrinkable.

Their food is great, a side of sweet potato fries is great with any brew. Plus they have outdoor seating, and a couple different indoor seating areas.

The food is excellent, but that is not a good way to start a review of a brewpub. The beer takes a backseat to the food selection and quality. This is a great place to start for dinner, then hit ABC for real beer afterwards. All the beers tend to blend together, nothing standing out as great. They usually have plenty of beer on tap. They now have plenty of TVs and smoking in The Den, so it is worth going to if you want to catch a Tiger's game.
