The wait staff is very knowledgeable. I found the selection more than acceptable. The food maintains a certain standard, no guessing what you will get from the kitchen. Sometimes it can get a bit loud, but being next to the university, you have to expect that. Especially enjoy the local flights. Try the local pints. Every Wednesday is Pint night - starting at 7pm, brewery glasses. You buy a pint, keep the glass. My 'fav' in CAE!

Good place overall. Quite possibly, The Flying Saucer has the best beer selection in SC. Tons on tap and even more in the bottle with some surprises on the featured board.

We went at an off time and were served immediately. Service was friendly and fast if a bit uninformed. Food was OK…decent quality, moderate sized portions, slightly over priced, desserts (according to the Missus) not worth the money.

This Flying Saucer is probably not the best destination for dinner if you’re not really in to beer. It is, however, a great place to while away a few hours sampling most of what’s available in South Carolina.

I will definitely go back.
