We've been to this bar a couple times, and seems there's hardly anyone in there. The beer selection is good, the food was typical barfare - though the onion rings on our last visit were obviously fried in old oil. The chipotle ketchup was very good and the service was attentive. Not sure if we'll go back. Unsure if the beer lines are cleaned regularly, as the beers were leaning towards the flat side.

StreetSide is a lounge with an interesting beer selection. I consider food to be the main reason people visit here. Which makes it a good example of what the beer movement has accomplished in the past 20 years. [i.e.: In 1986, this would have been a 'wicked' little restaurant with a lovely view of a parkway; with 40 wine selections, and for beer... ehhh, Michelob & maybe Michelob Light. Guinness is the guy who wrote that 'World Records' book.]
I've been here only once, in 2007 on the Logan Square Draught Beer Preservation Society's "March Fourth for Froth" pub crawl. All of us had either 45 minutes, or one hour and 45 minutes here. (The next bar was the venue chosen to attract all the 'bad' ratings.) I managed to squeeze in two beers here. (I went to the 'bad' bar. It was not bad; but merely average.) The draft selections run the vast spectrum. Bottles are mostly macros. I would not consider this a beer destination. But for a restaurant with a solid selection of good beers on draft, it is worthwhile.
Again, bus service on Armitage is woeful. You're facing a walk either west or east to a longer-running CTA line. [Kimball (3400 W) - #82; California (2800 W.) - #52]

Streetside Cafe looks a lot like many corner restaurants seem to be looking these days. There is an area on the Kedzie side of the corner that has a section for "streetside" dining. The bar inside takes up much of the room by the corner door, and it has 15 or so stools.

If you are really looking for a great beer selection, you will not find it at Streetside. You will however, find a solid selection that will provide you with a good beer to enjoy alongside your meal. There are 10-ish drafts, mostly big imports and a few of the midwest's regional brewers are represented by their flagship beers.

The food I have had here is good. They focus on sandwiches, wraps and burgers. There were a couple of pizzas on the menu and the appetizers were similar to what you would expect for pub fare appetizers. My wife really likes the jalapeno mayo that they use on some of the sandwiches.

Streetside is a bit more than a mile west of the Map Room on Armitage, so you could use the Armitage bus to get here. The parking is mostly "streetside" in this neighborhood, but you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a spot. The closest El stop would probably be Logan Square which would be a quick bus trip (or less than a mile stroll) up Kedzie.
