The Heorot is a dark and dingy place. If it were bright inside, I think it would be even scarier. The darkness seems to hide much of the dingyness which is helpful.

The beer selection is rather broad and surprising considering that there don't seem to be too many other beer bars in the area. We did not try the food and our service was a little big lacking.

A trip to the bathroom should have required a flashlight and I somehow ended up in the ladies room. Lookout!

Downtown Muncie seems to be in one of those "revival" stages and there seems to be a few places nearby to visit, but very few are restaurants.

I would suggest trying to hit the Fickle Peach while you are down there, it is only about two blocks away and they have a fairly decent selection too.
