Club Decatur occupies a nice corner location with large doors on each side. These open to the street and allow the conversation and the music to spill out. It’s a little run down as most older places in the Quarter tend to be.

The lone bartender was a bit overwhelmed by the happy hour crowd, but was friendly enough. The crowd skewed young and was a bit of a mix between, tourists, goth and skate park kids. They were having fun, were friendly and were drinking good beer, works for me.

The bar is against the wall and I would guess seats about 15 to 20. There are several small tables on the perimeter. They have a pool table and a video game for added distraction. Great Jukebox is an added bonus.

Speaking of beer, a pretty solid selection of about 20 to 24 drafts. A few BMCs, a few of the usual suspects and a few surprises (Sam Adams Cherry wheat???). I noticed Abita Bock and was a bit surprised to see an Oktoberfest still on tap (in January!). I stayed away from that one!

This may be the best draft choice of any bar in the Quarter. Stop by for a pint or two!
