Roosters in Layton Utah, nice new building, upscale with lots of Art, large bar. First beer was the Bees Knees Honey Wheat, this is a light creamy beer, great for the new to craft brew crowd, very clear with a light gold color, some mild hops to balance. The next beer was the Heavenly cream ale on nitro, another clean lite beer with that creaminess from the nitro, this would be a great lawnmower beer, somewhat malty and creamy. The next beer was a chanticleer saison 20th anniversary ale, really fruity aroma and lite malt flavor balanced slightly toward sweet, very clear crisp and clean. This is a really good beer, a session type you could drink several or take a growler. The next beer was the diamondback ale, this beer has an upfront toasty malt aroma and the expected flavor to follow, nice light crystal malt flavor with just enough hops to balance, lite for style body wise as are many Utah beers, this is another good clean beer. The next beer was the polygamy pale ale, a Utah IPA, some mild hop aroma followed by west coast style hops with some crystal malt and lingering hop bitterness, not a lot of aroma or finish hops....but a good effort. The next beer was the Rude Ram Red, this beer has some upfront toasty aspect also and a clear copper color, the flavor profile is a mix between toasty malt and slight crystal malt sweetness with just enough hops to balance, a delicate version of this style but flavor full. Next I had their Patio Pilsner, this beer has that lite hop aroma typical for style, malty crisp flavor with lite lingering hops, hard to discern much else drinking it out of order, but this is a good beer. The last beer was the Junction City Chocolate Stout, this beer has the deep mahogany color of a porter and a thin tan head. Roasted coffee type malt upfront with creamy maltiness, lite roasted flavor with just enough hops to bitter and some slight lingering astringency from the roasted malts, another somewhat lite for style Utah beer, as these are all pretty much session beers, but this is another good beer. This is a good brewery, all the beers are examples of fine representatives of the true style of these beers without the over blown aspects of many west coast beers.

Sunday's they have a brunch with lots of special dishes and the regular menu is fairly extensive. I tried a pulled pork sandwich special.

They also have coasters, sell beer in bottles on site snd have several types of glassware.
