I liked their beers, but their service was not so fun. The place felt very touristy (but I guess I was one), and the bartender did not seem to know much about the beers he was pouring (a disappointment). The server I had was also clueless, and the hostess was not old enough to legally drink. All were slightly unfriendly to our group of 6. The brewmaster must know the ins and outs of brewing- the beers were nice, and the IPA assertive. NOTE: They also won't fill Growlers that do not have their logo on them, so be prepared to add another to your collection should you want beer to go (or just head to a beer store for other beer- CO has a lot to offer). Stop by for a pint, but there are a lot better places to spend time/money.

This is a pretty neat place to stop for a beer and see the location. It is in the ground floor of an old victorian era hotel.

The beers are great. Vapor Cave IPA is my favorite. We have a couple of their growlers and usually get them filled with we stop for a pint while traveling.

You can see it from the interstate but it's a bit of a down and around route to get to it. Once you figure it out it's an easy stop.

After picking the boss up at the airport and returning them to Vail for the conference last Septermber, they cut me loose for the day. Since check-in at the next hotel wasn't until 4 pm, and it was 1:30, I decided to check out Glenwood Springs. This was the first brewpub I was able to actually see from the highway, and that made it easy to find. It was 2:30 in the afternoon and the place was full. Heck, Glenwood Springs was full.

I only ordered a brown ale. I had to get back to Vail, and I didn't want to deal with the traffic with a buzz. It was a really nice brown ale, and was only $3.75.

If I ever find myself in Glenwood Springs again, I will stay in the Hotel Denver, and spend the whole time at the bar.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Glenwood Canyon Brewpub: great town, great location, great atmosphere, decent food, top service and pretty good beer.

I nabbed both the Red Mountain ESB and the Vapor Cave IPA. The Vapor Cave is advertised as 'assertively hoppy' and was as advertised! The ESB was surprisingly 'complex' (I know that's a Michael Jackson-like description, but 'complex' is a pretty good description). I was about to go for a second ESB, but I realized I'd been enjoying myself so much gabbing with the 'tenders and waitstaff that the time had slipped away.

Glenwood Springs is a sizable enough town and sits on I-70 such that you might actually have the opportunity be near. Don't pass by; GCB is a definate stop.

Annoyances: I didn't go early enough and had to leave before I wanted to!
