Was headed to the Saugeen Shores and decided to detour a bit to this place.
The building itself is very cool. It's just as the website describes it: an old stone building on the river.
You're greeted by a nice patio facing the quiet village and roughly one thousand tourist pamphlets at the front entrance. Once you go inside, there are a lot of medal sort of things on the upper walls, as well as paintings, pictures and murals, and a counter with a cooler behind it.
When I went this past week, there were no working taps as they had no license, but they're supposedly working on it so, if you want to go, hold off another month or two because you can't drink any of their beer on site.
They do do tours on weekends by reservation and for a small fee ($5), but weekdays are strictly counter service selling cans (yeah, cans), which run $2.50 + tax a piece.
I bought a can of their porter and their Scottish Pale Ale, which just sounded interesting. I've yet to try this SPA, but the porter was pretty nice, although a bit weak for my tastes at 5%. Good for what it was though.
