I'm a little biased on this review due to my frequent trips to Etna and my ability to try several different beers. I have been to the Etna Brewery 4 different times and have always received great service, very good food, and tasted most of their beer offerings.

It is truly a small micro brewery with a pub restaurant above the brewery. The location, seating, and parking is small. There is outdoor patio seating which is great during the summer months but fills up quickly. The brewery sells Growlers, clothing, kegs, cases, etc.. On Friday and Saturday nights they have a special chicken and tri-tip dinner available. I wasn't present during some of their musical events but was told one of the groups visiting the pub was called "The Poachers."

If you are visiting the area there is the Motel Etna and several B&B's within walking distance.

My favorites are the Old Grind Porter which is a smooth dark ale with very little bitterness. Another choice on the lighter side is the Pig Alley Pilsner. Their website does not offer what is actually on tap at the pub.

The beer was $12 a pitcher and the food was very inexpensive. (Motel Etna is $60 for double occupancy and about three blocks from the brewery.)

An absolute must stop if you're ever in the neighborhood. Since you'll never be in the neighborhood, make a point to get here. There's plenty of nature to enjoy while you're out here. I remember the beer being pretty quality, though I've only been once. I do remember liking it enough to take a growler full home. By the way, Etna has the nicest growlers I've ever seen. I was told they're made in Italy specially for the brewery, and I believe it. I take this one with me everywhere for fills, and it gets a lot of comments... very "Aladdin's lamp" sort of look. Food was forgettable but the beer is great and the setting couldn't be better!
