Stopped in on a Saturday for some food and beer. If you enter on the lower level you have to wade through the largest brewpub souvenir shop Iβve ever seen to get to the small downstairs bar. There are free samples to be had at the bar here. We tried eight of their beers and were happy with all. They have cold 6-packs, cases, kegs, and growlers to go. After the beers and some t-shirt looking, we went upstairs to the dining room for lunch. I didnβt have a beer with lunch, they werenβt that good. Typical pub food served here, I had a dry buffalo burger and salad while the ladies had a bowl of chili as well as a chili burger and salad. The salad was right out of the bag. Overall the food was ok while the service was better than the food.

We visited here on a beer-centric trip to Colorado, and it was surely the biggest disappointment. I appreciated the free samples downstairs, but the quality of the beers was so low that I didn't even want a full beer for lunch upstairs. My wife had the house-made rootbeer that tasted like wintergreen and pine-sol. The food was suspect as well, with a horribly overdone burger. I won't be going back here anytime soon.

The brewery sits to the south west side of the town. The stout was a 8.5 out of 10. The Longs Peak raspberry wheat is a little sweet but a good raspberry beer. We come to the brewery at least 5 times a year and never had a bad beer. Just don't eat upstairs. We have had a few bad meals, shame on me for going back and eating. Just belly up to the bar and try a good beer. Taste them all downstairs then get your fill upstairs.

Certainly not the best brewery in Colorado, but definitely not one that should be overlooked either. Since it is located in such a high traffic tourist area (outside Rocky Mountain NP), it has the chance to be not the best. But overall, the beer quality was very good. The stout, porter and IPA all were very good selections. The best feature is free tastings in the downstairs tasting room, which the brewer served and answered questions. Overall, an enjoyable experience. Samples are $2 a piece in the restraurant and service was a little slow considering it was not particularly busy when I visited. They offer an extensive collection of merchandise including Shining and Stanley Hotel inspired Redrum Ale.

Not Impressed. In my opinion the only good beer was the porter, and it was pretty good, but the rest just had nothing special about them. One nice thing was the atmosphere. I liked the mountain feel the place had. As for the staff, I had a hard time understanding them and i dont think that they understood me all the well either, they were all foreign. I don't think that I would ever drive there just for the beer, but if I was there, I might go back if I wasn't busy.

i enjoyed the brewery. i really liked two of their beers but also didn't really care for the others. we did a sampler downstairs and then went up and ate. it's not too bad upstairs we sat in a booth right next to a huge window with view. we went in the early spring on a cold day and the town wasn't packed with tourists. the food was good, all three of us liked our entrees. i bought a pint glass but it was just an outline of their logo not colored in. the server was pretty friendly and took care of us but there weren't too many people in their so... a nice place to grab a bite and a beer if you're in the area .

Colorado Road Trip β 2006
A fun brew pub with a big park in the background. This was a great place to stop and have some lunch the food was very good. As for beer tasters you can get all you want for free downstairs or sit upstairs and pay 50cents each. We did both it was much better upstairs sitting and drinking than having to stand while everyone going to the bathroom looked at you. A fun place some good beers the staff were very nice.

This Brewery has a cozy feel and a nice little gift shop and and large restaurant attached. Pizza is expensive but you get full quickly.
Sampler is a "Try anything/everything you want" sampler. Totally free (tips nearly expected). And the samples are just that, small shot glasses. So if you are truly in the mood to try, not drink, by all means, this is nice.
If you are already in Estes Park, this brewery is right off the main street and there is now a bus that takes you up and down that main drag. Its a 5 minute walk from main st.
Beers were good but nothing that stands out as amazing. Except their seasonal blueberry beer. Oh my. If you enjoy sweet beer or don't like beer, you will still like this. It tastes much like a Blueberry Champagne.
This is a brew you can get in most states so you can try their brews without leaving your hometown.
The other reviewer was right to say that the server tended to want to be elsewhere.

EPB was a bit of a disappointment for me; average beers and a "different" atmosphere...almost like a small town diner as opposed to a brewpub in a great Rocky Mountain town!
I did the obligatory tasting in the "tasting area" (a 6' long "bar" with a server who seemed like he would have rather been waiting tables for the better money...). Lacking an IPA in the line-up and not really being a big wheat-or-fruit beer fan, I settled on the Red. Nice mix of Chinook and Cascades and a drinkable beer.
Annoyances: We endured the "diner" atmosphere and the weak food; I left after purchasing a pint glass with the logo (to drink other beer from) and a hat that I actually wear. When people ask me about the brewery upon seeing the hat, I shrug, grin, tell 'em how great the view of Long's Peak is and say they have to try the brewery for themselves .

This excellent location serves up some fine pub grub, super beers and average service. When you first walk in, you are in the lower level of the brewpub. Down there you can have a free sample glass or two (tips recommended) at the lower level bar. Also on the lower level are the merchandise sales and this is also where you can purchase (tax-free) your six pack of Estes Park beers of your choice.
A great view of the brewing house is left open for curious brewpub-ers with a large glass window showing all the action. When we ate there, we watched the brewers run the small bottling line in the brewhouse.
All the beers were great and they also served up some homemade rootbeer for the kids. The bar in this location is huge and this location also boasts its 10 or 20 big screen TV's! When we first arrived, a heard of elk were grazing the parking lot and we also finished our beers and dinner with a ride with the kids on the go-carts next door.
Estes Park is a super tourist nightmare but this location was a good oasis amidst the craziness! Make sure not to leave with out a mix and match six pack of your favorite brews!!
