linkI'll preface this review by saying that I don't like mead. Mead is much too sweet for my taste. In spite of my aversion to fermented honey products, I enjoyed my visit to Shady Grove.
The meadery itself is located in a wooden building right off I-75. There's a nice view of the mountains from the back porch, where you can drink and enjoy your mead.
I sampled all but one of the many meads they brew, including a unique champagne-mead amalgam, which was good. In addition to the champage-mead, they have more traditional meads as well made from assorted honeys, some which were much too sweet for me.
Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend a trip to Shady Grove.
