This brewery is now part of the Dux de Lux chain, and it's not clear if it's still actually brewing -- I didn't see any equipment on my visit.

It's not a great bar: low uncomfortable seating, loud music and ropey service. The beers nearly make up for it, but it's not somewhere I'd stay for more than a couple, especially having already been to the Christchurch branch. Black Shag and Ginger Tom are particularly worthy of note among the regulars. The food is pretty decent as well.

A few cosmetic changes and this could be a great place.

I lived in New Zealand for about 5 months back in college just to travel. I went to this Brewpub each time I visited Queenstown and absolutely loved it. I cannot give you exact details now as it was over 4 years ago, but I do remember being blown away by the quality of beer and the delicious fare served. The atmosphere was very relaxing; we sat outside on a fairly brisk early fall night by their outside fire as we drank a few of their tall beers. If I recall correctly the place wasn't all that big. The service was good I do remember. Definitely the best beer and pizza I had in New Zealand.
