DuClaw operates their main brewery in Abingdon MD, and has four taphouse satellite locations at Arundel Mills (Hanover), Bel Air, Bowie (Town Center Mall), and BWI Airport (Baltimore). I am very fond of DuClaw's product line. Their tamest beers are Bare Ass Blonde, Sawtooth Belgium White, Misfit Red, and Bad Moon Porter, and I would consider these just average. But things improve rapidly with Euphoria Brown (yum!), Exile Belgian, Old Flame, Venom Pale Ale, and seasonal Naked Fish Chocolate Raspberry Stout. Things get very complex and delicious with BlackJack Russian Imperial Stout (7.5%), Misery Wheat Wine (10%), and Serum Double IPA (9%). As if those big beers aren't enough, their offering culminates with Devil's Milk Barleywine (10.5%) and the perfectly bold Pax Nemesis Imperial Alt (11%). The Hanover Arundel Mills restaurant is my favorite because it's located in an awesomely diverse mega-mall! Movie theater, huge Dave & Busters, Medieval Times, and plenty of shopping provide ample entertainment. The DuClaw restaurant has an outdoor patio for smokers (no smoking inside now), and free (but crowded) parking. I highly recommend visiting for a sampler flight.

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon with my GF. Apparently it was Smoker's Day there. That sort of curbed a little of our enthusiasm. There were about eight beers on tap; we tried four. They weren't bad but none were really outstanding. The porter was probably the best. The food was decent and not overpriced and the bartender was pleasant and attentive. I'd like to go back sometime when there isn't so much of a blue haze. They don't seem to have any logo pint glasses, which I collect. Odd.

It's a little unclear where to enter this place. I walked in through the outdoor patio which leads into the bar area which is a smoker's paradise. Leaving the pit into the dining area gives a welcomed relief from the freight train.

I was seated immediately and my server was spot on in terms of timing and delivery. In fact my dish came out before I had hardly started to drink my beer. Incredibly fast and efficient service. I expected to savor the beer for a good long while based on the people inside, but my dish had to have taken less than 5 min to hit the table.

The view from the dining room was of the mall so atmosphere is what it is. The Selection included 10 drafts and all were good, none awful while some did leave you lacking. To serve 9 different styles of beer is admirable. The food was good, the tuna wasn't expecially high quality, but what do you expect out of a $12 entree.

I'd go back, decent beer, quick service and good food sounds like a winning combination to me!
