Stopped in here on my way home from New Glarus.

The place is located in an upscale strip mall on the edge of a upper class subdivision. This seemed rather odd to me.

Upon entering you notice the expansive size of the place. Lots of wood and stone. Pretty much an upscale Applebees feel. There were about 2 other people in the place which I didn't think much of it since it was a Wednesday afternoon. The bartendress was very friendly if not knowledgable. We ordered a couple beers and chatted with her for the duration of our visit. Nothing special about the beer or the place. The outside area was huge which could be a draw.

They had around nine taps available however two of them were out at the time. Our bartender told us that Grays simply can't keep up with the demand. Apparently Grays is popular somwhere in Wisconsin. Who knew?

I don't remember what day it was when my wife and I went, but it was a slow day there. We sat at the bar and I think there was maybe two other people at the bar. It was a nice big place with an out door section, had two floors. We also found out their beers ae all brewed in Janesville.
For the beer,

The Light was ok, it was what it was.

Honey was like the light with a touch of honey, and had a nice aftertaste.

The wisco wheat had too much of an orange flavor to it, I've had this in bottles and remember it being better.

The Amber we weren't really fans of

Irish seemed like the hopps were off, it was too hoppy at a point during the taste that it shouldn't have been.

IPA had a good mouth feel, but it wasn't right for an IPA, it was more like that of a stout, the initial taste was also like a stout, then you got the hoppyness later, may have been mixed a little, possible bad line or something, I don't know, but it was off.

Pale was a pale.

Oatmeal stout had the best nose and mouth feel. It was what a decent oatmeal stout should be.

Porter was good, but was missing the nose, we thought the Oatmeal was better.

I decided to take my family to this brewpub for their Friday night fish fry and to try some of the local made beers. This was one happening place and I was glad that I made reservations. We waited for some time and were finally seated. There is a main dining room with 2 wings which included booths and tables, a large bar area with pub style tables and stools, upstairs was more dinner style seating and 2 banquet rooms of the main floor dining room which both connect to the outside patio for an addition seating are of 125 people.

Our service was fair and the dinner was excellent. For a great Friday night dinner may I recommend the fish fry with a beer cheese soup for a starter.

Our party included six adults and four kids and all the adults tried a different beer. The Stout was a wopping eight percent but when it was served it tasted super flat and below average. The IPA was super and was my favorite. The Rathskeller Amber Ale, Honey Ale and Bower City Pale Ale all had a fine taste and went down great with our food. My second favorite from this location was the seasonal nut brown ale which was really malty and tasty.

There was smoking at this location, plenty of parking and was very family friendly. This location apparently brews four unique beers that are not brewed at the Janesville location...but I wasn't sure exactly which was which.

I highly recommend a visit to this location for great food and decent service but don't expect to be blown away by a huge selection of unique beers, as you won't find that here...just some really decent average every day joe beers that seems really over priced.
