Also came here twice over a four night period, both times after eating someone else. Decorated like a rough Planet Hollywood, the beer selection is very good. "Drink Local" is my motto and they had plenty of local brews to go through. Non-smoker so that is a negative for me, though everyone else seemed to think it was great. In the growing Mid-town location; only a few blocks from the MARTA. Would visit again for the beers alone.

I ended up at Vortex twice during my vacation to Atlanta. With all of the no smoking laws being passed, it seemed like one of the few places that you could still smoke inside (I think it's 18 and older so you can smoke. Check with Vortex.)

They have a modest amount of draft beers, but a very large and diverse selection of bottled beers. They also have an extensive selection of burgers. The burgers and the large selection of bottled beer tempted me to visit this location twice in five days.

The staff was friendly, but could be slow from time to time (it can also get busy in there). The place is cramped around the bar, but being able to try a large number of beers and get really good burgers outweighed any potential negatives.
