I pass this location every day to and from work. This location is considered as a landmark to those who live in the midtown area. If you are ever in a hurry and need to pick up something quick, PLEASE skip this location. Parking is a headache and often it's crowded inside due to it's GREAT selection of everything (beer, wine, liquor, etc). The beer section is a craft beer wonderland with choices from all regions of the world but I dig it mostly for it's local beers. My very first Terrapin beer was bought from here. This location holds a lot of "first" for me. I moved to Atlanta in 1993, the very first 6 pack of beer I bought was from this store. My very first 40oz was bought from this store and my first craft beer was bought from this store (Sweet Water 420). If you got time to kill, stop by.

linkI've been to the other Green's on Buford Hwy as well, and this one seems to have a slightly better selection, although the other one is outstanding as well. Though, this store also has a better view of the Atlanta skyline, if that's your thing.
They have the large bomber type bottles, as well as some six packs, along a wall on the right side of the store. There is plenty of beer in the refigerators, everything from bombers and 750s to six packs to mix packs and cases. There are also cases stacked up in the middle of the floor in various places. There is also a Belgian beer room, which I did not go into (I actually forgot it was there). From the picture on their website, I don't think there is any selection shortage there either.
I didn't get any help from anybody, but it's a big place, and I'm sure I would have had help if I asked. There is also a wine (and liquor) section, where there are probably more people who need help. The prices are reasonable, and with every liquor store I have been in around Atlanta, there is a slight discount for purchasing with cash.
If you live in Decatur you probably have one of the better beer selections in the area. There is the Brick Store Pub which is down the road, as well as another Green's, and several other beer joints and stores. Being close to Emory University, Georgia Tech, and Georgia State, there is probably a good college presence in these places as well.
