I've been here a couple of times in the past, but never got around to adding a review. After visiting yesterday, it seemed like they had one of the larger selections in the chain, similar to the one in Skokie, second only to the South Loop location. Beer was on the shelves right as you walked in, showcasing a shelf of new arrivals. I noticed Eel River, ReaperAle, Bellhaven Scottish Stout, and a few others i'd never seen. Imports were further back along the wall, loosely grouped by country of origin. German, Belgian, European, some other imports were mixed in with the US craft further down the wall. As a sour fan, I was happy to see plenty of traditional lambics from Cantillon, 3F, Boon, also Rodenbach, and a few others from De Ranke & Struise. They had a new T'Smisje Reserva I hadn't seen elsewhere. At least 5 varieties of Jolly Pumpkin, and full lines of Moylans, Bells, Lost Abbey, Goose (including new reserve bombers on sale) and many others. The cooler space for craft was small compared to the wall of macro in the back, but they had signs on the shelf saying "available chilled".

Service was good, there were people on the floor, and at the service desk they found some more Juliet for me. Overall a good shop, with a large variety, and as a bonus they had a few craft beers on sale for Binnys cardholders (free to get one). Edit: It sounds like the review below may work for the competition, looking at their one day of reviews on here...

I have been to this Binny's location quite a few times and although it is always clean and fairly well ordered, the staff NEVER has asked if I need any help or anything and don't seem too concerned with service. They are even downright rude at times. The selection is pretty decent with some areas pretty well developed but the prices are a bit higher than you would find elsewhere. I vote this Binny's location thumbs down. There are plenty of other places in the area to go.

Glen ellyn is making somewhat of a comeback....

Beer selection at this binnys is average for local markets... but there are more of full lines than you'd expect as some stores are Vying for shelf space and shorten up on those lines that are larger and those lines stay in a good rotation and that in the end is what's most important.... It's english/german sections are also very average for a binnys where you'll find most of your favorites.... this binny's specialty is south american macro lagers... and other unknown micro lagers that give the store a bit of charm.... The belgian section is as developed as it's going to get and they aren't as discerning as they once were to keep new things rotating, but it's still nice in it's way....

But what most stands out to me, the have a small singles rack that is also used when a specialty beer they have bought limited quanities of gets low.... you can more than likely find some capital, great lakes, berghoff and other well known craft on this rack as well as the more horrifying ab and miller takes at craft... not a bad way to sample them or torture your friends who aren't into craft beer as much...

The beer selection dominates the right side of the store, one large racking holding most of the craft sixers and then a couple of islands holding seasonals ... from there a couple of cold doors with craft bombers and belgian 750's and the farther you move back in the store the more macro things become... tho the soda section at this particular binny's isn't as impressive as others....

overall, slightly better than average. Worth a stop when in the area....

to me binnys in general is a buck or fifty cents above average... IE Alpha king binnys 8.99/ DG sams 7.99 but still moderate in most instances.
