My wife and I have been to this place twice. Once was just a stop in to get some beers to go and the other time we stopped for lunch and beer. Nice little place on the corner allowed good lighting without the need for overhead nasty yellow lighting. It was nice having natural light in there. Seemed clean for the most part. Plenty of seating.

The beer here as most of these small places is about average. Nothing spectacular and nothing I could find unsettling. I'd have to say though that they had the best green chili beer (Valle Caliente) I've ever had. I generally don't reach for these but if I go here again or their distribution gets farther than local, I would definitely drink one or pick some up. The Hefe Suave was my wife’s favorite. As far as my favorite I would have to pick the Grand River IPA.

Lunch, the first time we went was standard pub food. Burgers, sandwiches, fries, and the sort. They did have a few other things like steaks and chicken. I stuck with the burgers and got the Green Chili Guacamole Burger. It was delicious. Next time I think I'll go for something else to give their menu a go around. Service was about average. Nothing notable about it. Prompt and friendly.

As far as beer to go is concerned they offer both growlers and 6 packs. If you want to they will be willing to do a mix 6 pack. Just ask like I did and you can fill it with what you want. They also have merchandise like shirts and stuff.

Went down to the Crane Festival a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised to find out there was a brewery in Alamosa. When we walked in, the interior was engaging as it was an old bank converted into a restaurant and bar/brewery. However, this where the honeymoon ended.

The IPA I ordered was watered down, and was an IPA in name only. The food was awful. I ordered fish and chips and the portion was maybe big enough for a 5 year old, not to mention that the fish was straight up Van DeKamps It was disappointing to have such a weak offering from a brewery. This place is lucky it is the only brewery for miles around.

Great location on Main Street in Alamosa, CO (Main St. is a one way Street) in a beautifully restored building. Enjoyable visit and other patrons seemed satisfied. The Owners/brewer was there on both visits (but we didn't ask for a tour), bar staff somewhat knowledgeable of beer styles, and friendly/helpful/patient (have you been here before, can I answer any questions). In addition to the "sampler", 10 oz pours are available for those on the road. The beers were, in general, a little light bodied, the Belgian-style Brown was great, but some belgian yeast like phenols were evident in some of the american style ales, likely due to serving line contamination, but don't know. Hopefully, I can taste their beers at GABF and find out more. We look forward to visiting again, the food was great and all was reasonably priced. May 2009.
