The Flying Saucer is located just off the corner of 4th and main, the Saucer occupies a cool older building. There is a public parking lot behind it.

Two rooms on the main floor with a two-story beer garden in back. The smallish bar is in front and it seats about a dozen. Thee are plenty of tables of various sizes. There is also a section with couches and stuffed chairs. There are very high ceilings with some quirky angles. The walls are covered with saucers. Nice tile floors and old wood add the ambiance. There are some large screens, so it is not a bad place to catch a game.

As expected, massive tap and bottle list. Always rotating in something new. They have lots of emphasis on the growing craft breweries in Texas. I counted four offerings from Rahr alone.

They have great deals like 3 pints on Mondays! Trivia on Tuesdays is a hoot. The crowds seem to be a lot of fun and the bar has a nice Texas atmosphere.

The bar tenders are very good and really know the beer offerings. Note that service can slow a bit, as the bar gets crowded. I think they could really use one more tender on busy nights.

Food is just average. I like some of their offerings, but what is the deal with mayo on brats…. Smoke free is a huge plus.

My favorite place to have a beer (or three) in Fort Worth.

This is a great place to meet up and go with friends because of the wide range of beers. Service is usually good, the food is typical bar food, and the selection of bottled and tap beer is impressive. The more experienced wait staff are very knowledgble. I have had times I have visited when I could sit down, tell them I wanted something hoppy with a moderate level of alcohol and they brought the perfect beer.

My one complaint is that their beer has the tendency to oxidize quickly. Which means some beers will have a wet cardboard taste to them if they are not moving very quickly. What I do is normally ask the waitress what is moving quickly or what is new and I am usually safe. Or I get something in the bottle.

Right in the center of Fort Worth in the downtown area near Sundance Square. This location is inside an older style building, which gives it a lot of character and class.

Inside is a downstairs area with a long bar, and some lounge type areas for seating. Upstairs is an outside balcony with wooden picnic style benches. Also, there is another indoor area with chairs and tables, along with a lounge area and a TV.

The selection upstairs is great at the bar, with several craft beers to choose from, some of which are on display. 8 tapes are available of various styles. There are also waiters/waitresses to bring you your drinks.

Good laidback atomsphere upstairs, more of an active scene downstairs. Overall this is a good bar to attend with your friends. It is in a nice location as well, providing for other activities to be done before or after your visit.
