Just to update a couple things in earlier reviews...they do have draft beer now and, while they still have paninis, they also have awesome BBQ. I have had the BBQ chicken pizza, the brisket sandwich and, the real star, the disco fries. The disco fries can easily feed 2 without needing an entree.

Good to great bottle selection (although lots of belgians, which is nice)...not a ton of drafts, but some mainstays that are good enough to keep you coming back (Stone IPA).

Cooper's is definitely worth your time...great beer, great food.

2010: Gave it another try, 4 decent taps now (Ebels, Trumer, Stone IPA, DFH Punkin) and just ok food. The beer list appears to be extensive at first, but there really weren't many beers that would excite the beer geek crowd. This is a decent neighborhood place, but for my money, Fizz, Four Moon, and even Village Tap have it beat as far as neighborhood beer bars go.

2008: Stopped here recently just to check it out. Craft beer neons were in the front windows. We sat on their covered patio, which was sort of raised like a deck. Inside it was more dark and intimate with french nouveau style posters. Walked past the bar and noticed there were no taps. The crowd seemed a little older, but not without a few rowdy cubs fans. Overall the place was clean, and had a friendly neighborhood vibe.

On the menu there was a long list of bottles, divided up both by beer style and country of origin, such as Pale Ales, then Belgians, German, etc. There was a fairly good number of bottles, but they seemed a little arbitrary. DFH 60 min. but no 90 min., FFF Pride & Joy but no Alpha King. Many pale ales. There was certainly more to choose from than your average place, but nothing out of the ordinary.

The food was a highlight, and i'd return to try out the dinner menu. We only had appetizers, but what we had was tasty and of high quality. If you're going to a show at Schubas, Coopers is right down the street and they have a better bottle selection.

Cooper's is easy to find in a car and they have a nice big parking lot in the back (entrance to the parking lot is on the east side of the restaurant). Cooper's is very close to either the brown or red line at the Belmont stop.

There are 90-ish bottled beers to choose from here. They do not have any draft. They do serve food here and it is worth a try. The focus is on "panini's" (aka: grilled pressed sandwiches) and the sandwiches that we had were good.

As far as I could tell this is a non-smoking establishment. I looked all over the bar for ashtrays and all around the tables in the restaurant and I could not find one. The bar is a little bit on the short side, but it still has room for 6 stools. There are several other high bar tables in the vicinity of the door/bar. The back of the restaurant has shorter tables.

They have a large deck/patio to the side of the restaurant. It appears that in warmer weather they will have outdoor patio seating (but I am not 100% sure of this).

If you are in Sheffield's neighborhood and you are looking for some food and some more beer, you can't really go wrong with Cooper's.
