Telegraph Brewing is in a semi-industrial part of Santa Barbara and this production brewery fits right in. A large roll-up metal garage door opens to the brewery. There is a tiny tasting room on one side. It has a small wooden bar with stools and an open window with a few more stools right in the brewery itself (adjacent to kegs and fermenters). The fairly small copper brewkettle and mash ton more stainless steel fermenters are further back. A couple skylights give a little extra light (though they have a dark screen to cut out some of the sun).

There were five beers on our visit. Their house yeast is a Belgian yeast but they use a Czech yeast for their pilsner (“Cerveza de Fiesta”) and an English yeast for some of the ales. The California Ale we tried had a definite Belgian characteristic.

No food is available. You can get a growler filled, but since this is California you can only fill a growler with their name printed on it (and hence bought here).

This is a small brewery located in an industrial area. There is a small tasting room but my visit was too early to get any samples and it’s only open select days. I did purchase a couple of bottles of Stock Porter for my later enjoyment. Growlers and kegs are also available. The staff was hard and work but friendly and allowed me to shoot a few pictures. There is limited parking on the street out front.
