DBA is by far one of the best night life spots in New Orleans if you love beer and local music. It is located in the center of Frenchmen St. which avails you a night full of beer drinking, bar-hopping, and some great music to listen to of all types. DBA's beer list makes it the best all around spot on the strip. They have a great selection of Belgian Imports, the good stuff too, it's not a Stella kind of place. The American Craft Beer selection is about as good as it can get in Lousiana, lack of demand and alcohol laws make it hard to get a lot of American beers there.

There is plenty of room for you to both enjoy the live music on the stage or sit in the side room which has the other half of the bar in it and hang with some friends. No matter what, I have always found something I like there and it is appropriate in many situations. When the music isn't playing, it is a great place to hang and meet fellow beer-lovers and Frenchmen St. frequenters like myself.

Very good selection for New Orleans. Xmas 2008 saw local draft beers from Abita, additional microbrews, plus special holiday beers from Sierra Nevada, Anchor, Rogue and the like, and a respectable lineup of German, British, Belgian, Baltic and other fine beers. (This is a don't miss bar if you like the local musicians booked there, playing blues, jazz, zydeco and related styles.)
If only they'd stop indoor smoking so you could really taste the darned beers.
