Whole Foods is very easy to locate off Wade Avenue but can be a pain to find a parking space. Once inside if you can shove a Granola aside you can work your way to the beer section which is really in three locations. There is a beer case to the left near the salad bar with single bottle selections, one in the back left corner with cold sixers and bombers and some warm Belgians in the wine racks, and then around the corner is a warm sixer section. All the beers are import or craft and this location generally has all the new releases and seasonals, but at time you have to ask for them. The prices are where this location kicks you in the teeth. They are generally a dollar or two more than anyone else on everything. If this was my local store I would certainly shop there, but since it is out of the way I go elsewhere and save the coin.

This place does a great job of packing its shelves with as much beer as possible--the most beer of the four Triangle Whole Foods. It also does a great job of stocking local breweries. They feed the movement by holding tastings often, and Andy, the beer buyer, is pleasant and helpful.

You can pick up single and have with your chow if you wish, with seating both inside and out. You can pick up raw wheat for your homebrewed wit. And whatever else you might want/need at a place like this.

The only downside is that the beer is spread around somewhat,and if you're new to the place, you might think they have less than they do. Cold sixers and bombers are by the wines (and Belgian 750s) while warm stuff is around on the other side, across from the dairy and meat. Then you have those cold singles, which are nearer checkout, across from salad bars, etc.

Definitely a good place to hit if you're in Raleigh.
